Classification of Obesity (based on the data from the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization)
- Too Thin BMI < 18,6
- Normal Weight BMI = 18,6 ~ 24,9
- Over Weight BMI = 25 ~ 29,9
- 1st Degree OBESE BMI = 30 ~ 34,9
- 2nd Degree OBESE BMI = 35 ~ 39,9
- 3rd Degree OBESE BMI > 40
Morbid obesity, i.e. obesity that has reached a point considered to be a disease, is a term used in case of a BMI greater than 40 or a BMI of 35 when associated with co-morbidities.
